After 30 years teaching at the University of Washington, Kim Yong-min (PhD, ECE ’82) returned to Korea to lead Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). POSTECH is a small college with a short history. It was founded in 1986 with an investment from a large Korean steel company interested in boosting the nation’s influence in science and technology.
