Innovation for hire: David Franchino Leads Design Concepts
(The Wisconsin State Journal reports on Design Concepts, led by one of COE’s very own)
“We’re always doing things that are new,” says Dave Franchino, UW-Madison graduate and president of the privately held Design Concepts. “It’s rare for us to be asked to do something that we know how to do or have done before.”
Over the past 12 years, the company has ballooned with ideas, innovations and in size. Franchino was the 11th employee when he was hired in 1996. Now, he is one of two principal owners and one of seven shareholders.
